The movie was filmed on historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like it all year round. The locations that serve as the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s Grill are also real-life family-owned businesses.

I thought it was a cute movie

It’s sports-themed, and I loved the little Easter eggs (Donna Kelce, Andy Reid, and older retired players) that were featured in the movie. It’s definitely a hallmark of the movie, where the over-the-top family is always trying to get in on the action.

I highly recommend seeing this movie, especially if you’re a woman who loves sports and romance

This movie was a great departure from the usual ‘female leader with a lot of power comes to a small town to fix something and falls for a small town guy’. Overall, it was a typical premise and still a cute Christmas-themed movie, even though it wasn’t as big a theme as football.
