Originally, Sawyer’s character was to be an older, plucky, suit-wearing urban artist from Buffalo, NY. But when Josh Holloway forgot a line during an audition and later kicked a chair and cursed loudly in frustration, the writers liked the edge it gave Sawyer’s character and decided to write Sawyer as a darker Southern drifter. Jin and Sun are married and share the surname Kwon, which becomes a major plot point in the final season.

It’s amazing how well the series has aged. Seeing it all over again made some of the stories make a lot more sense. I really think the ending makes a lot more sense now.

This is something I was completely blind to when I first saw Lost

It’s an amazing series that paved the way for the amazing landscape of high-quality series we enjoy today.
